Knott's Plantain Slicers Additional Information :

The four standard vertical 11" tubes have a 2.5" inside diameter to accommodate most plantain fruit and the curve of the bananas.  However, curved tubes are available to order.  We also offer 30 degree angle mounted tubes for diagonal slicing.  Special diameters available, by quotation, up to 4" I.D.

For increased output, specify additional tubes.  You may use up to eight tubes for standard slices; six for diagonal; four for curved diagonal.

A set of two (2) knives will slice up to 40,000 lbs., or more, of properly prepared potatoes.  Longer knife edge life should be expected for slicing plantains or bananas.

Lengthwise slicing of plantains can be accomplished with standard potato slicer , Model 108-15

Standard Slice Thickness:  Rotors machined for .062" target slick thickness.   Screw adjustors allow for + - .010" by operator.  Specify if different standard is desired.

Standard Electrical: 120VAC, 60 cycles, 1 phase.  Specify your requirements at time of order.

Mountings:
108-30  Lip on base of drum allows for fastening to match your requirements and tanks.  Many users employ tubular stretchers or even 2 x 4's to permit 2-man positioning or for moving from tank to tank.

108-40  Cast iron feet, flush with bottom of drum.  Optional 1.25" high feet so bottom of drum is 3.75" below plane of feet.
